BrandedLogoDesigns SCAM: Serious deficiencies with password managers

The Fraunhofer SIT has discovered large security gaps with several Android password managers and advises users to urgently update.
To use a different password for each user account increases the security, but unfortunately is also very annoying, since you have to memorize dozens of passwords. As a result, so-called password management apps promise. In this app all the desired access codes are stored and you only have to remember a single master password. But what if this password is cracked? Then the hacker has free access to all access data stored in the app.
Researchers at the Fraunhofer Institute for Information Technology (SIT) have discovered serious safety gaps with several Android password managers. For example, some applications would store the master password in the plain text on the smartphone. This makes it easy for hackers to bypass encryption and access the stored data.
Other apps, in turn, would not delete the clipboard after the credentials were copied to it. This clipboard can practically be read out from any other app, thus enabling so-called "sniffing". The biggest risk, of course, is the loss of the smartphone.
Updating Apps as fast as possible
After the researchers of the Fraunhofer SIT informed the manufacturers about these defects, everyone would have responded immediately and corrected the errors. Users are therefore strongly advised to update their password manager.Affected apps:
